Ripple-affiliated cryptocurrency XRP is making history with six consecutive months of gains against Ethereum (ETH), marking its longest winning streak ever in this trading pair. After a staggering 160% rally against ETH in November 2024, XRP has maintained strong momentum throughout 2025. March saw XRP/ETH climb nearly 20%, and the trend continues in April with a further 14% rise so far.

This performance marks a dramatic turnaround from the previous year when XRP endured seven straight months of underperformance versus Ethereum, from November 2023 through May 2024. In February 2024 alone, XRP dropped by 20.4% against ETH, reflecting investor concerns and regulatory uncertainty at the time.

However, sentiment around XRP has shifted significantly. Renewed optimism surrounding the ongoing SEC v. Ripple legal battle and increasing chatter about a potential spot XRP ETF have played a key role in this resurgence. Analysts suggest that an XRP ETF may already be in motion, fueling bullish sentiment and sustained buying pressure.

As Ethereum struggles to regain key technical levels and navigate bearish momentum, XRP’s outperformance is drawing attention across the crypto market. Traders are closely watching whether this rally can be sustained, especially if ETF approval or a favorable court ruling materializes in the coming months.

With XRP now consistently beating Ethereum on a monthly basis for half a year, it’s clear that investor sentiment is shifting, potentially reshaping the competitive dynamics between the two major altcoins. As regulatory clarity improves and institutional interest grows, XRP appears to be carving out a stronger foothold in the evolving crypto landscape.
