Con artists are promoting false tokens in phony groups by posing as Shytoshi Kusama, the principal developer of the Shiba Inu project. There are dishonest people out there trying to trick others, but the Shiba Inu group isn't going down without a fight.

Do not respond to these crooks or provide them any personal information; this warning stresses it again. Please make sure any group or token you're planning to join is legitimate before you join the Shiba Inu community.

Shytoshi Kusama Reiterates Scam Warnings

Shytoshi Kusama vented his frustrations and restated his long-standing cautions about scammers in a post on November 19th, which was published on X. Kusama said, "I somehow know how this feels. We have long warned our community to be careful of scams."
