BlackRock is doubling down on its crypto ambitions, adding four new positions to its digital asset team as interest in blockchain finance surges. The asset management giant, already a key player in the space, posted openings for Director of Digital Assets, Director of Regulatory Affairs, Vice President of Digital Asset and ETF Legal Counsel, and Associate for Digital Assets.

Three roles are based in New York and one in Atlanta. While the job descriptions remain broad, the position for legal counsel reveals a potential expansion into more crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs). BlackRock already launched two spot crypto ETFs—the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and the iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHE). Other major issuers have filed for ETFs tied to altcoins like Solana (SOL), XRP, and Litecoin (LTC), but BlackRock has yet to signal plans in that direction.

In addition to ETFs, BlackRock continues to lead the way in tokenization. Its BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), launched in 2023, has become the largest tokenized money market fund in the world, attracting over $1.7 billion in assets.

Since the inauguration of President Donald Trump, financial heavyweights have increasingly embraced crypto. BlackRock, in particular, has made strategic moves to bridge traditional finance with blockchain innovation. Its recent hiring spree underscores a growing commitment to digital asset infrastructure, regulatory navigation, and future product development.

With increasing institutional interest and ongoing efforts in tokenization, BlackRock is positioning itself at the forefront of the digital asset revolution—blurring the lines between legacy finance and the decentralized future.
