Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange backed by billionaire twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, has appointed Dan Chen as its new Chief Financial Officer. The announcement follows Gemini’s recent confidential filing to go public.
Chen, previously a senior executive at Affirm Inc., brings extensive fintech experience to Gemini. At Affirm, he led capital markets and bank partnerships, successfully expanding secured funding access to over $20 billion. His expertise in scaling financial operations positions him to drive Gemini’s growth.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Chen stated, “I’m thrilled to join Gemini as CFO and work alongside the incredible team to unlock the next era of financial and creative freedom.” He emphasized the exchange’s role in the fast-evolving cryptocurrency sector, calling it the “most dynamic” space in finance.
As CFO, Chen will oversee Gemini’s financial strategy, helping the company scale its operations and navigate its expansion plans. With his fintech background and leadership experience, he is expected to play a key role in Gemini’s future as it prepares for public listing and broader market growth.
