Brazil’s state-owned postal service, Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telégrafos, has launched a pre-selection process for blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) specialists to enhance logistics and operational management.
The tender, published in the official journal Diário Oficial da União, invites companies to propose innovative solutions that drive digital transformation across the agency’s services. Under the initiative Licitação Seleção Prévia e Diálogo nº 25000001/2025 CS, the postal service aims to modernize business processes, operations, and supply chain management.
“We want to foster a collaborative and dynamic approach to integrate AI and blockchain into our operations, addressing logistical and business challenges,” the organization stated.
While specific use cases weren’t detailed, blockchain technology is commonly used for supply chain tracking, document authentication, and transaction security. AI is expected to play a key role in optimizing logistics and enhancing data-driven decision-making.
The move aligns with a global trend where logistics firms leverage emerging technologies to improve efficiency and security. By embracing blockchain and AI, Brazil’s postal service seeks to strengthen its digital infrastructure and streamline operations in an increasingly technology-driven market.
