AI-Powered Chatbot Utilizes OpenAI's ChatGPT to Simulate Responses from Satoshi Nakamoto

More than a decade after Satoshi Nakamoto, the enigmatic creator of Bitcoin, vanished, two tech enthusiasts have embarked on a quest to revive the opportunity to interact with this elusive genius.

In May, Pierre Corbin, co-organizer of Bitcoin FilmFest, and co-developer Hugo Ferrer introduced an intriguing AI chatbot called "Talk2Satoshi." The primary purpose of this chatbot is to provide responses to inquiries about Bitcoin and economics, imitating the writing style of Nakamoto.

The foundation of "Talk2Satoshi" lies in ChatGPT, an AI model developed by OpenAI. The model has been fine-tuned using a curated dataset comprising Nakamoto's public communications such as emails and forum posts. It also incorporates references from books like The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous, The Price of Tomorrow by Jeff Booth, and a documentary by Corbin titled The Great Reset and the Rise of Bitcoin. The developers plan to include more reference materials in the future.

During testing, the AI chatbot generated responses that reflected both skepticism regarding the future of traditional currencies and optimism towards Bitcoin. However, the exact answers varied depending on the nature of the questions.

For instance, when queried about the future of Bitcoin in different ways, the chatbot provided contradictory views, expressing both promising prospects and an element of uncertainty.

It's worth noting that the chatbot is not trained on recent Bitcoin advancements, such as the Ordinals protocol or BRC-20 tokens. Consequently, it typically responds with an inability to form opinions on these subjects. Interestingly, the chatbot occasionally offers inconsistent responses about Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens depending on how the question is posed.

Corbin explained that the primary objective behind creating this chatbot is to demonstrate how AI technology can effectively contribute to education. Despite its limitations, the model can provide satisfactory answers to questions about the mechanics of Bitcoin, including details about the mining process and network intricacies such as satoshis.
