Crypto exchange Binance is bringing cryptocurrency into the browsers following its partnership with Brave Software, makers of the innovative Brave browser.

According to the press release, the Brave browser combines privacy with a blockchain-based digital advertising platform. With Brave and Binance's partnership, Brave browser users will enjoy seamless and convenient crypto trading through Binance.

“Cryptocurrency trading can be a daunting task for users not familiar with such assets, so integrating Binance into the Brave browser makes the process seamless and simple,” said Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave. “By bringing a leading exchange like Binance directly into the browser, Brave is taking cryptocurrency trading mainstream and enabling users to conduct transactions with ease.”

Brave will add a new Binance widget in the new tab page of the Bravo desktop browser that offers integrated functionality for buying and trading cryptocurrency. With it, the users can access Binance.com and Binance.US, buy and sell crypto assets, view asset balances and obtain deposit addresses.

That’s not all; the Binance widget also offers users various options to manage their digital assets including buying, depositing, trading and viewing summaries. It also supports various cryptocurrencies for trading including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC) and many more supported by Binance.

Users need not worry about the safety of their assets because the widget is not just a loaded iframe. It is built into the Brave browser and preserves the user’s privacy. API calls will only be made into Binance if the user authenticates via OAuth and interacts with the widget.

“The Binance widget on Brave’s privacy-oriented browser instills a safer way to buy and sell crypto and also reduces user friction to onboard, trade and interact with the Binance ecosystem,” said Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (‘CZ’). “We are looking forward to our long-term partnership with Brave to make it even easier to interact with crypto and encourage more utility in the near future.”

An early version of the new feature is available in Brave’s Nightly desktop version. It will be released for general desktop available in April. The Binance widget will be enabled by default but users can turn it off and hide it. Binance and Brave will make it available on mobile platforms at a later date.
