A dormant Bitcoin whale from the Satoshi era has resurfaced once again, moving another massive batch of BTC. Just a week after transferring 80,000 BTC—valued at $8.6 billion—the same wallet has now shifted 20,000 BTC worth approximately $2.42 billion, according to data from on-chain tracker Lookonchain.

The movement occurred on July 14, aligning with Bitcoin’s surge past a new all-time high of $123,000. These coins, originally mined or received in 2010, have appreciated by over 3,024,900%, making this whale one of the most profitable in crypto history.

The transactions were split into two batches of 10,000 BTC, continuing the same pattern seen earlier. This consistency has led analysts to believe the wallet is controlled by a single entity, potentially even Bitcoin’s elusive creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, or someone close to them.

Reactivated on July 4, 2025, after 14 years of dormancy, the whale’s activity has stirred speculation across the crypto community. Some believe the whale is merely repositioning funds for security reasons, while others think it may be preparing to take profits amid the ongoing bull market.

With Bitcoin adoption accelerating among retail and institutional investors, the reemergence of ancient wallets adds to the market's intrigue. Although the identity of the wallet holder remains unknown, the precise and strategic transfers suggest a highly experienced early adopter or “Bitcoin OG.”

As Bitcoin’s price climbs and long-dormant wallets awaken, the market is closely watching every move. Whether this is Satoshi himself or just an early miner, one thing is clear: the whale's timing is impeccable, and its actions could foreshadow major market shifts.
