Strive’s perpetual preferred stock, SATA, is approaching a $1 billion market capitalization as the Bitcoin treasury company expands its BTC holdings and attracts fresh investor capital.

Strive acquired another 1,375 Bitcoin last week for approximately $109 million, paying an average price of $79,281 per BTC. The purchase increased the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to 24,531 BTC, currently valued at roughly $1.96 billion.

CEO Matt Cole said SATA generated about 70% of the capital Strive raised during the week, while sales of common stock accounted for the remaining 30%.

SATA, Strive’s high-yield perpetual preferred stock, pays daily dividends at a 13% annualized rate. The security continues to trade close to its $100 par value, giving Strive an opportunity to raise additional funds through at-the-market offerings while limiting its reliance on common stock issuance.

Investor interest has also boosted Strive’s ASST shares. The stock has more than doubled over the past month and is up approximately 56% year-to-date. Despite the recent rally, ASST remains around 90% below the record high it reached about a year ago.

Strive’s recent stock performance has outpaced Strategy, whose MSTR shares remain down roughly 12% this year.

Strategy, the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder, repurchased another $176 million of its STRC perpetual preferred stock last week. The company also doubled its authorized STRC share repurchase program from $1 billion to $2 billion.

Unlike Strive, Strategy did not add to its Bitcoin position during the period. Its holdings remain unchanged at 845,050 BTC. Strategy funded the STRC buybacks with cash rather than issuing additional common shares, reducing its U.S. dollar cash reserves to approximately $1.438 billion.

STRC, which carries a 12% yield, continues to lag Strive’s SATA preferred stock. STRC is trading near $98 and has remained below its $100 par value since mid-May.

The contrasting performance highlights growing competition among Bitcoin treasury companies seeking to use preferred shares and other financing structures to raise capital while managing shareholder dilution.
