Gemini and Apex Fintech Solutions are planning to broaden access to regulated crypto prediction markets through a partnership that combines Apex’s brokerage infrastructure with Gemini’s federally regulated trading and clearing operations.

The companies announced Monday that they signed a letter of intent that could allow Apex brokerage clients to offer crypto event contracts through Gemini. Under the proposed agreement, Gemini Titan would serve as the exclusive regulated venue for crypto-related event contracts distributed through Apex’s Futures Commission Merchant.

The arrangement would enable participating brokerages to provide customers with access to crypto prediction markets while relying on Gemini for trade execution and clearing. This could eliminate the need for brokers to establish direct connections to a prediction market exchange.

The exclusivity would cover crypto event contracts distributed through Apex’s FCM. However, Gemini and Apex could also collaborate on contracts tied to sports, economic indicators and financial markets on a non-exclusive basis. The companies expect to finalize remaining terms in the coming weeks.

Gemini entered the prediction market sector in December 2025 after Gemini Titan secured a Designated Contract Market license from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Its regulatory capabilities expanded in April when Gemini Olympus obtained a CFTC Derivatives Clearing Organization license, allowing Gemini to manage clearing and settlement internally.

By the second quarter of 2026, more than 225 million event contracts had traded through Titan, while the platform recorded over 27,000 cumulative traders.

“We believe that predictions are the future of markets,” Gemini CEO Tyler Winklevoss said, highlighting the company’s growing focus on event-based trading.

The planned partnership also builds on Gemini and Apex’s existing relationship. Gemini launched commission-free stock trading for select U.S. customers in July, with Apex Clearing Corporation acting as custodian and clearing broker.

Apex Global Head of Digital Markets Travis McGhee said the partnership would give brokerage clients regulated access to crypto event contracts without requiring them to build the underlying infrastructure themselves.

For now, the agreement remains a letter of intent and will only take effect after Gemini and Apex finalize its terms.
