Eddie Yue, Eddie Yue Wai-man, the 3rd and current Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), stated today (March 15) that the Monetary Authority is working with the Digital Currency Research Institute of People's Bank of China to study the use of digital yuan for cross-border payment technology testing, and make corresponding technical preparations.
