Marketplace Binance U.S. announced that it just launched staking rewards for Cosmos (ATOM) on Tuesday.
The Binance U.S. app users don’t need to do anything if they are already holding COSMOS (ATOM) in their wallet to begin earning rewards. Meanwhile, ATOM/USD and ATOM/USDT trading pairs are already available to trade on Binance.US app, website, and API.
Binance U.S. will take hourly snapshots of users’ ATOM balances to calculate rewards, which are calculated daily and distributed monthly. The distributions for ATOM will be completed before the 20th of each month.
Binance U.S. is a fast and secure marketplace that provides access and trading across a diverse selection of digital assets. It will continue to evaluate coins, tokens, and trading pairs to offer on Binance U.S. and in accordance with Digital Asset Risk Assessment Framework, community feedback, and market demand.
Binance has continued its global expansion. Just recently, it also announced that it added support to Nigerian Naira on its peer-to-peer (P2P) platform. Prior to that, Binance P2P has added support for Russian Ruble (RUB) and Vietnam Dong (VND).
“We no longer need to bank the unbanked. We can empower them with cryptocurrency financial services directly. Nigeria is a vibrant innovation hub with great passion for cryptocurrencies […] We strive to provide the easiest cryptocurrency access and best trading services for the African community, and P2P trading is a more flexible approach, giving users the freedom to choose their payment methods and counterparty in a trade,” said Binance CEO Changpen “CZ” Zhao.
Binance Charity has also concluded the second phase of its donation for Wuhan. As of March 6, Binance made 6 batches of medical supplies to 130 hospitals, medical teams, and disease control command centers. The donations include 2000 protection suits from Israel distributed to 23 hospitals and 1,000 protective suits from the United Arab Emirates that were delivered to 16 hospitals. Binance also donated 388 oxygen machines, 133,000 pieces of PVC gloves and 10,000 pairs of protective goggles.
