Bittensor Adds Optional Key Rotation to Its Post-Quantum Wallet
The wallet supports ML-DSA-65, Falcon-512 and Falcon-1024. Users who enable rotation must permanently lock 0.2 TAO once.

Bittensor launched a wallet for Bittensor (TAO) that supports three post-quantum signature options and lets users rotate signing keys without changing an account’s address, balance or stake.
The wallet supports ML-DSA-65, Falcon-512 and Falcon-1024 for coldkey and hotkey functions, including TAO transfers, staking and validator-weight settings. The National Institute of Standards and Technology has standardized ML-DSA-65.
Automatic key rotation is optional. Users who enable it must register and permanently lock 0.2 TAO once. After a signed transaction is recorded on-chain, the wallet switches to a new signing key, and the previous key can no longer authorize transactions for the account.
Users do not need to change their mnemonic phrase each time keys rotate. Wallets without rotation do not require registration.
Existing wallets remain usable. Users can move funds and stake to a new account through a transfer or a coldkey swap.
