Dash released Core v24.0.0 on Nov. 6, its first 24.x version, introducing a hard-fork network upgrade that makes installing the new software necessary for every node operator.

The release adds decentralized masternode shares, allowing multiple parties to share collateral for one masternode. Payments under DIP-0026 can divide the masternode’s rewards among those parties. The update also expands masternode address support.

Dash Platform changes include v2 asset locking and unlocking, with withdrawal limits set as relative ratios. Users can adjust adjacent denominations during mixing. Descriptor wallets are enabled by default, and the release adds support for compact quorum proofs.
