Trade.xyz said GitBook confirmed that a breach of its infrastructure caused the incident affecting GitBook-hosted documentation. Trade.xyz said its own systems showed no evidence of compromise.

The company said an internal investigation found no signs that its infrastructure had been breached. It also said its security controls worked as intended and prevented the GitBook incident from affecting its systems.

Trade.xyz plans to move away from GitBook in the coming days. The company described migration as its next step after the review, shifting its documentation away from the platform involved in the incident.

For crypto projects that rely on outside documentation platforms, the episode highlights the distinction between a breach at a provider and a confirmed compromise of a customer’s own infrastructure. Trade.xyz said its review found no evidence of that latter outcome in its case. The company also said its controls prevented the incident from affecting its systems.
