ZetaChain proposed burning about 55 million ZETA in 2027 and not selling newly unlocked ZETA from its foundation allocation, while its planned Solana migration remains subject to governance approval.

The proposal calls for monthly burns throughout 2027 to reduce ZETA’s total supply. ZetaChain’s commitment not to sell tokens applies to newly unlocked ZETA from the foundation allocation during that year.

The measure is the second governance proposal tied to moving ZETA to Solana. A 72-hour vote on the proposal is open and ends Nov. 7.

ZetaChain plans to migrate ZETA to Solana on Dec. 9 at a 1:1 ratio. After the migration, the project plans to stop minting ZETA and permanently revoke its minting authority.
