ApeChain Plans to Replace LayerZero With Chainlink CCIP
The planned transition covers Bored Ape Yacht Club and other Yuga Labs projects. ApeCoin (APE), USDC and other major assets on ApeChain will adopt Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token standard.

ApeChain plans to replace LayerZero with Chainlink’s CCIP as its canonical cross-chain infrastructure, a shift that will bring key assets under Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token standard.
ApeChain announced the plan Wednesday, Nov. 4. It covers Bored Ape Yacht Club and other Yuga Labs projects, and will end ApeChain’s reliance on LayerZero for cross-chain infrastructure across the ecosystem.
On ApeChain, ApeCoin (APE), USDC and other major assets are set to adopt Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token standard. CCIP supports cross-chain messaging and token transfers. More than $15 billion in token value migrated to CCIP in 2026, a measure of broader adoption of the protocol.
The transition is designed to help applications and communities move assets between networks more easily and improve interoperability.
