CoinDCX Denies New Hack After $15.99 Million Moves From Retired Wallets
The exchange said its deposit-sweeping process failed for a period and affected accounts were credited; it did not disclose the resulting operational loss.

CoinDCX denied a new breach after transfers of roughly 15.99 million Tether (USDT) and 5,783.81 TRON (TRX) left wallets associated with the exchange on Oct. 21.
The transfers were recorded at 11:35:54 a.m. ET (15:35:54 UTC). CoinDCX said its process for collecting deposits sent to retired addresses failed for a period, affected user accounts were credited and it would absorb operational losses. The exchange did not disclose the amount.
Blockchain investigator ZachXBT alleged that a TRON deposit address beginning TQKJQ continued receiving deposits and sending funds to a current public hot wallet in April and May 2026. He estimated about $15.8 million in user deposits was unaccounted for, a separate figure from the reported transfer total.
CoinDCX said its active wallets were unaffected and customer assets remained in segregated cold wallets. The exchange said some users continued sending funds to deprecated addresses after its July 2025 security incident, which involved a compromised internal liquidity account and about $44 million in exposure the company said it would cover from reserves.
