Sui Foundation Plans $30 Million Investment in DATA Network

DATA Network and its Trace registry will join the Sui stack, with Walrus as the default data layer.

The Sui Foundation plans to invest $30 million in DATA Network, bringing its network and Trace registry onto Sui and setting Walrus as the default data layer.

The Oct. 12 announcement described the move as a protocol upgrade. DATA Network’s independent chain will be retired after the upgrade is complete.
