Google Releases Gemini 4 Argon With Priority Access for U.S. Government and Network Defenders
The model targets complex workflows, network defense and software engineering, with API pricing set at $2 per 1 million input tokens and $10 per 1 million output tokens.
Google released Gemini 4 Argon to the U.S. government and selected network defenders, putting its newest flagship model into high-priority cybersecurity and software-engineering use cases.
Access for trusted network defenders began Thursday through Google's Fairwind program. The model is built for complex workflows, network defense and software engineering, and scored 77.9% on the DeepSWE v1.1 test.
Google also expanded Argon's output limit from 64,000 tokens to 1 million tokens, allowing it to produce substantially longer responses in a single task. That capacity is relevant to software and security workflows that require extended analysis or code generation.
Paid API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers are next in line for access. The introductory API price is $2 per 1 million input tokens and $10 per 1 million output tokens.
The rollout adds another major model release to the competition over AI systems built for long-running technical work, including infrastructure and network defense.
