Stride Plans to Shut Down Chain, Move stToken Redemptions to Osmosis
Redemptions through Stride will pause after Oct. 12, with an Osmosis pool expected around Nov. 20 after underlying assets unlock.

Stride plans to wind down its blockchain and shift redemption access for its liquid-staking tokens to Osmosis, changing how holders recover the underlying assets across the Cosmos ecosystem.
Users can redeem stTokens through Stride until Oct. 12. Redemptions will then pause while the underlying staked assets complete their unbonding process, with an Osmosis redemption pool expected to become available around Nov. 20.
The migration will cover stATOM, stOSMO and other stTokens through Osmosis’ Transmuter pools. The tokens will be exchanged for their underlying assets at fixed redemption ratios.
stTokens will not expire, and holders do not need to take action before the migration. Tokens already deployed on other chains also do not need to be bridged back to Stride. Rewards will stop accumulating once the migration is complete.
Stride Labs and the Stride Association have limited reserves, with funds expected to be exhausted by February 2027 at the current spending rate. The next immediate deadline for holders is Oct. 12, when Stride-based redemptions are scheduled to stop.
