Bitget Attack Drains About $357 Million in Crypto Assets
The stolen funds include about 102.9 million XRP and 31,890 ETH, alongside stablecoins and other tokens.
An attack on Bitget involved crypto assets worth about $356.86 million, including 102,926,478 XRP and 31,890 Ether (ETH).
The stolen holdings also included 34.75 million Tether (USDT), 21.06 million USD Coin (USDC), 19.67 million USD₮0, 3,000 Tether Gold (XAUt), 12,719 BNB, 821,012 Avalanche (AVAX) and 20.59 million TRON (TRX).
Most of the funds moved on Ethereum Virtual Machine networks were exchanged for 67,982 ETH valued at about $183 million. That represents roughly half of the total assets involved, while the XRP holdings were not included in the disclosed EVM conversion path.
The concentration of the stolen assets across different blockchain networks leaves the XRP holdings and other non-EVM assets on separate tracking paths.
