Coinbase said Jennifer Jones plans to retire after notifying the company on Sept. 29, and will remain in her current role until a successor takes over.

The company disclosed the decision in a Form 8-K filed Oct. 2. Jones serves as Coinbase’s chief accounting officer and principal accounting officer.

Coinbase has begun searching for a successor. Jones will work with the successor to transfer her responsibilities and will continue in her role until that person assumes it.

The company said Jones’ decision was not tied to a disagreement over its operations, policies or practices.
