Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently revealed that Bitcoin (BTC) makes up less than 10% of his portfolio, a modest share given his influence in the crypto space. According to Arkham Intelligence, Buterin's total crypto holdings are valued at approximately $806.67 million, with Ethereum (ETH) dominating his portfolio. He holds over 240,000 ETH, worth around $790.96 million, alongside synthetic ETH assets like 2,874 AETHWETH ($9.56 million) and 262,349 WETH ($873,620).

His portfolio also includes the meme coin MOODENG, valued at $2.33 million. This token is inspired by Moo Deng, a hippo from Thailand’s Khao Kheow Open Zoo, which gained internet fame in late 2024. Buterin donated $290,000 to support the animal’s care, earning him recognition as its "adoptive father."

Despite his pivotal role in the blockchain world, Buterin’s BTC holdings are estimated at just 800 BTC, worth around $80 million. This relatively small allocation has fueled speculation, but his preference for Ethereum aligns with his deep involvement in its development and vision. While Bitcoin remains the leading cryptocurrency, Buterin has always championed Ethereum's potential for innovation and scalability.

His investment choices highlight his long-term confidence in Ethereum, reinforcing why ETH remains the backbone of his portfolio. As the crypto landscape evolves, Buterin’s holdings offer insight into where he believes the future of blockchain technology is headed.
