Bitcoin (BTC) Map Shows $1.45 Billion in Short-Side Intensity Above $80,000
The map ties the readings to moves above $80,000 and below $75,000. They measure relative cluster intensity, not fixed amounts awaiting liquidation.

A Bitcoin (BTC) liquidation map covering major centralized exchanges puts short-side intensity above $80,000 at $1.45 billion and long-side intensity below $75,000 at $550 million. The short-side reading is about 2.6 times the long-side reading.
The levels are conditional: the map associates short-side intensity with a move above $80,000 and long-side intensity with a decline below $75,000. The figures are not guaranteed dollar amounts of positions that would be closed.
A liquidation occurs when a leveraged trade is forcibly closed after its owner falls short of the margin needed to keep it open. The intensity measure describes how much a mapped cluster stands out from nearby price zones, rather than counting contracts or dollars that would be liquidated. Taller bars indicate a potentially stronger market reaction if the price reaches that level.
An earlier map used thresholds of $78,000 for long-side intensity and $82,000 for short-side intensity, with readings of $1.115 billion and $1.185 billion, respectively. Because the thresholds differ, the two sets of readings are not a like-for-like comparison.
