Bitcoin climbed past $80,000 and Ether moved above $2,400 during Wednesday’s U.S. morning session, as gains across major stock indexes put crypto’s rebound alongside a broader market advance.

At 10:12 a.m. ET (15:12 UTC), Bitcoin was near $80,500, up about 4% over 24 hours. Ether was around $2,430, up roughly 6% over the same period.

The S&P 500 stood near 7,698, a gain of about 1.7%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up about 2%, while the Nasdaq Composite had risen roughly 2.4% after the opening bell.

Bitcoin had been trading near $79,000 shortly before moving above $80,000. Ether had climbed from around $2,350 to more than $2,400. The readings captured both crypto assets and the three major U.S. stock indexes moving higher during the same early trading window.
