Bitcoin and Ether ETFs Lose $548.5 Million as Weekly Outflows Ease
Ether funds accounted for $320.1 million of the five-session outflows, compared with $228.4 million for Bitcoin funds.

U.S. spot funds tied to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) saw net withdrawals of $548.5 million across five trading sessions ending Oct. 16, down from the previous week.
Ether funds accounted for $320.1 million of the net outflows from Oct. 12-16, while Bitcoin funds accounted for $228.4 million. The combined amount was about 55% below the $1.2211 billion withdrawn from the same two fund categories over Oct. 5-9.
In that earlier period, Bitcoin funds had $678.9 million in net outflows and Ether funds had $542.2 million.
Both groups ended Friday, Oct. 16, with outflows: $82.4 million from Bitcoin funds and $69.7 million from Ether funds. IBIT and FBTC accounted for the Bitcoin fund losses, with $71.8 million and $10.6 million in outflows, respectively. ETHA accounted for the Ether fund outflow. Other listed Bitcoin and Ether funds recorded no net flow that day.
Some sessions brought inflows. Bitcoin funds gained $175.7 million on Oct. 13 and $5.1 million on Oct. 15, while Ether funds added $24.8 million on Oct. 13. Those positive days were not enough to offset outflows across the full period.
The totals combine daily net flows across listed funds. They show that withdrawals exceeded inflows over the five sessions, but do not explain why money moved.
