Morning market: Bitcoin at 113.13 million won as Bithumb’s STRK jumps 51%

South Korea’s crypto market showed renewed risk appetite, with Bitcoin at 113.13 million won and Bithumb-listed Starknet up 51.3%. Turnover reached 1.9 trillion won.

As of 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 11, South Korea’s crypto market showed renewed risk appetite. Combined 24-hour turnover on Upbit and Bithumb stood at 1.9 trillion won, while 41 of 52 tokens with at least 5 billion won in turnover rose, leaving the advancer ratio at 79%.

The majors moved higher. Bitcoin traded at 113.13 million won, up 0.1% over 24 hours, while Ethereum rose 0.4% to 3.42 million won.

The top gainer was Starknet on Bithumb, which jumped 51.3% to 142 won on 10.5 billion won in turnover. USDAI rose 29.3%, and Conflux gained 25.5%.

On the downside, Talus fell 38.8%, while Magic dropped 16.9%.

By absolute turnover, Doppler Finance led with 198.1 billion won, followed by Kaia at 102.8 billion won and Tether at 51.4 billion won. The five most actively traded tokens accounted for roughly a quarter of total market turnover.

In derivatives, liquidations over 24 hours totaled $66.3 million. Long positions accounted for 46.6% and shorts for 53.4%, showing a relatively balanced split. The Deribit Bitcoin options put-call ratio by volume stood at 0.90, indicating more activity on upside exposure.

Sentiment improved. The Fear and Greed Index rose to 64 from 59 a day earlier, remaining in the “greed” zone. The kimchi premium, the gap between South Korean and global crypto prices, stood at +1.7%, keeping domestic prices slightly above overseas levels.
