Crypto ETFs Lose $962.5 Million Across Two Trading Sessions
Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $244.1 million in outflows on Oct. 8, while Ether funds lost $72.5 million.

U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) exchange-traded funds recorded $962.5 million in combined net outflows across the Oct. 7 and Oct. 8 trading sessions, marking a sharp withdrawal from major crypto investment products.
Across the two sessions, Bitcoin funds posted $729 million in net outflows, while Ether funds lost $233.4 million.
Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund posted the largest Bitcoin ETF outflow on Oct. 8 at $197.1 million. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust lost $5.5 million, while Franklin Templeton’s EZBC recorded a $4.7 million inflow.
ETHA was responsible for $71.1 million of the Oct. 8 Ether ETF withdrawals. Fidelity’s FETH gained $5.5 million, partly offsetting withdrawals elsewhere.
The two-day figure reflects the difference between money entering and leaving the funds during the U.S. trading sessions. Net outflows alone do not establish that investors have abandoned crypto assets.
