Job openings totaled 7.079 million in August, while July’s figure was revised up to 7.335 million from 7.271 million.

U.S. job openings totaled 7.079 million in August, below the 7.225 million forecast and adding a softer labor-market signal for Federal Reserve rate expectations and crypto markets.

The August figure came after July job openings were revised up to 7.335 million from 7.271 million. The latest reading was released at 10 a.m. ET (14:00 UTC) on Sept. 29 through the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey, known as JOLTS.
