DoubleZero (2Z) rose 21.68% to $0.07134 as estimates for its scheduled Oct. 2, 2026 token release diverged, leaving the size and value of the distribution unresolved.

Open interest stood at $24.58 million, while 24-hour futures volume reached $304.62 million and spot volume totaled $63.95 million. 2Z also traded at $0.07223, up 23.1%, with a 24-hour range of $0.05717 to $0.08028.

The release estimates range from 1.625 billion to 1.66 billion 2Z. The lower figure represents 16.3% of maximum supply and carries an indicated value of $95.4 million. The 1.66 billion estimate represents 16.55% of supply and is valued at $79.94 million.

An earlier 1.77 billion-token estimate, valued at more than $124 million and equal to 17.79% of maximum supply, is not corroborated by the other figures. The exact amount of the Oct. 2 tranche remains unspecified.

DoubleZero’s vesting framework calls for gradual token releases over four years from the expected Oct. 2, 2025 launch. Its allocations include 28% for Jump Crypto, 14% for Malbec Labs, 10% for the team, 12% for institutions, 4% for contributors, 2% for builders, 1% for validators and 29% for the DoubleZero Foundation and ecosystem.

Circulating supply stood at 3.469 billion 2Z against a maximum supply of 10 billion, with total supply listed at 9.998 billion. The size of the release would therefore be measured against a substantially smaller existing float.

2Z is the payment and incentive token for DoubleZero’s low-latency network, which is built from independently contributed fiber links. Users can pay for network connectivity in 2Z, while network and resource providers can receive the token for supplying infrastructure or computational services.

2Z operates as an SPL token on Solana rather than as the native token of the separate DoubleZero Ledger. The network launched in Q3 2025, with Solana as its first integrated blockchain.

The market-capitalization impact of the release will depend on the amount distributed, the token’s price at the time, the share already circulating and whether recipients sell. The scheduled release date is Oct. 2, 2026.
