Institutional participation in the broader crypto ETF market appears to be cooling as major digital asset investment products record mixed capital flows. However, XRP has emerged as an exception, attracting fresh investment while Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana ETFs experienced withdrawals.
According to the latest data from SosoValue, XRP ETFs recorded $1.55 million in net inflows on September 8. The positive flow came after XRP investment products previously experienced a trading session with no notable investor participation, suggesting demand for regulated XRP exposure is beginning to recover.
XRP was the only major cryptocurrency among Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana to register positive ETF flows during the session. Bitcoin ETFs posted approximately $46.65 million in combined net outflows, making BTC funds the biggest source of withdrawals among the four assets.
Ethereum ETFs also recorded $24.29 million in net outflows, while Solana ETFs saw a smaller $667,720 leave their funds.
Although the $1.55 million XRP ETF inflow remains relatively modest, the contrast with competing crypto investment products highlights continued investor interest in XRP. The figures suggest some institutional and traditional market participants are still seeking exposure to the cryptocurrency through regulated ETF vehicles despite weaker momentum across the wider digital asset market.
The ETF activity comes as the XRP price has also regained upward momentum. XRP recently reclaimed the $1.43 level after rising roughly 3% over the previous 24 hours, adding to signs of improving market sentiment.
Continued XRP ETF inflows could provide additional support for the cryptocurrency if institutional demand strengthens in upcoming trading sessions. However, broader crypto market instability and declining ETF participation remain important factors for investors to monitor.
With XRP outperforming its major rivals in daily ETF flows and its price returning to a bullish trajectory, traders are increasingly watching whether the cryptocurrency can extend its recovery. A sustained combination of ETF demand and positive price momentum could strengthen expectations for XRP to eventually challenge the closely watched $2 level.
