Michael Saylor’s Strategy has returned to the Bitcoin market with a major purchase after roughly two months of slowing its aggressive accumulation strategy and focusing more heavily on building cash reserves.

Strategy, the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder, announced that it acquired another 4,603 BTC for approximately $370 million over the past week. The purchase marks a notable return to Bitcoin accumulation and has attracted attention across the cryptocurrency community as BTC trades near elevated price levels.

According to Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor, the company purchased the latest batch of Bitcoin at an average price of roughly $80,318 per BTC. Following the acquisition, Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings have increased to 845,050 BTC, further strengthening its position as the largest publicly known corporate holder of the cryptocurrency.

The company did not focus exclusively on Bitcoin during the period. Strategy also added approximately $29 million to its cash reserves and repurchased about $152 million worth of STRC, one of its preferred stock offerings.

Following these transactions, Strategy reported a U.S. dollar reserve of approximately $5.10 billion and USD cash holdings of $1.61 billion. Saylor said the company’s U.S. dollar duration had increased to 4.0 years, while STRC’s BTC credit reached 56 basis points.

The timing of the $370 million Bitcoin purchase has generated mixed reactions among crypto market participants. Strategy appears to have accumulated the cryptocurrency while Bitcoin was still trading near the higher end of its recent range, prompting some traders to question Saylor’s approach to timing BTC purchases.

Critics have particularly focused on Strategy buying Bitcoin at an average price above $80,000 after the company had recently reduced its exposure at lower prices. Supporters, however, have long viewed Strategy’s Bitcoin strategy as a long-term treasury approach rather than an attempt to profit from short-term market movements.

Despite the debate, the latest acquisition reinforces Strategy’s commitment to Bitcoin as a core treasury asset. With 845,050 BTC now on its balance sheet, Saylor’s company remains one of the most influential institutional players in the Bitcoin market.
