Flows into U.S.-listed spot altcoin ETFs were largely muted on Wednesday, with demand concentrating in a handful of products. Spot XRP (XRP) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) ETFs logged fresh net inflows, while spot Solana (SOL) ETFs slipped back into outflow territory after a flat prior session—signaling a market still in 'wait-and-see' mode rather than broad-based risk-on positioning.
Data compiled by SosoValue for Aug. 6 U.S. time showed spot XRP ETFs turning positive after a single session of net redemptions, attracting $3.45 million in net inflows. Of the five listed XRP ETF products, inflows were limited to Franklin’s XRPZ (+$561,562) and Bitwise’s spot XRP ETF (+$2.89 million), indicating 'selective allocation' rather than category-wide accumulation. Cumulative net inflows for spot XRP ETFs stood at $1.51627 billion, with $13.66 million in daily trading volume and $964.21 million in net assets—about 1.50% of XRP’s market capitalization.
Spot Solana ETFs, by contrast, posted $859,455 in net outflows after holding steady the previous day. The withdrawal was concentrated entirely in Fidelity’s FSOL (-$859,455), while the remaining eight SOL ETF products were flat. Despite the day’s reversal, spot SOL ETFs still showed $1.14737 billion in cumulative net inflows. Daily trading volume reached $25.89 million and net assets totaled $857.24 million, representing roughly 2.03% of SOL’s market cap.
Elsewhere in the altcoin ETF complex, activity remained dormant. Spot Dogecoin (DOGE) ETFs were unchanged for a second consecutive session, with cumulative net inflows of $12.20 million, trading volume of $345,052, and net assets of $9.89 million (around 0.09% of DOGE’s market cap). Spot Chainlink (LINK) ETFs extended their flat streak to nine sessions, holding cumulative net inflows at $128.14 million. Trading volume was $1.61 million and net assets were $109.40 million, equivalent to 1.79% of LINK’s market cap.
Spot Avalanche (AVAX) ETFs also showed no additional net flows, marking 39 consecutive sessions of unchanged daily movement. The category’s cumulative net inflows were $11.00 million, daily volume was $53,873, and net assets stood at $31.67 million (about 1.14% of AVAX’s market cap).
Hyperliquid stood out among smaller altcoin ETF lineups. Spot HYPE ETFs recorded $2.84 million in net inflows, extending their streak to two straight sessions of net creations. The flows came entirely through Bitwise’s BHYP (+$2.84 million), while the other two products in the category were flat. Cumulative net inflows reached $284.47 million, with $5.10 million in trading volume and $265.04 million in net assets—approximately 2.14% of HYPE’s market capitalization.
Several niche products also remained unchanged: Canary’s Hedera spot ETF (HBR) was flat for six sessions with $105.31 million in cumulative net inflows; Canary’s Litecoin spot ETF (LTCC) held steady for 12 sessions with $10.26 million in cumulative inflows; 21Shares’ Polkadot spot ETF (TDOT) was flat for 41 sessions with $1.40 million in cumulative inflows; and VanEck’s BNB ETF (VBNB) was unchanged for 38 sessions with $1.45 million in cumulative inflows.
The day’s pattern—narrow inflows into a few funds, isolated outflows in a single SOL product, and widespread inactivity elsewhere—underscored how the spot altcoin ETF market continues to trade more like a set of 'single-asset gauges' than a unified sector. For now, flows appear driven by product-specific positioning and incremental portfolio adjustments rather than a broad shift in investor risk appetite.
