SharpLink's $394.3 million Q2 Loss Dwarfs Ether Staking Revenue
The quarter included a $321 million unrealized crypto loss and a $76.1 million impairment charge. SharpLink's Lido allocation came after the quarter ended.

SharpLink recorded a $394.3 million second-quarter net loss despite $11.161 million in net staking revenue, showing how valuation charges can outweigh income from its Ether (ETH) treasury.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, the loss included a $321 million unrealized loss on crypto assets and a $76.1 million impairment charge on LsETH and weETH. Both charges were noncash. Total revenue for the quarter was $11.5 million.
The results capture one stage of a strategy SharpLink began in June 2025, when it made ETH its primary treasury asset. By June 30, the company had restaked $205.844 million in weETH onto Linea under an ether.fi agreement dated Dec. 18, 2025. The agreement called for at least $200 million to be bridged over an initial 24 months.
As of Aug. 3, SharpLink held about 888,938 ETH equivalents. That total comprised 634,255 native ETH, 181,748 ETH if redeemed from LsETH and 72,935 ETH if redeemed from weETH. The holdings snapshot followed the quarter-end results and preceded the company's Lido announcement.
SharpLink announced a separate $200 million Lido allocation on Aug. 13. That liquid staking position uses wrapped staked Ether, or wstETH, held with Anchorage Digital. On Oct. 19, the company described the Lido position and its ether.fi arrangement as $200 million each, both with Anchorage custody. The deployment across the two platforms had already been covered.
The sequence matters when reading the earnings figures. The ether.fi and Linea position was active by June 30, while the Lido allocation came later. Second-quarter net staking revenue reflects the broader treasury strategy and does not isolate returns on the combined $400 million deployment.
The two positions use different structures. Lido supplies wstETH for the liquid staking allocation. The ether.fi arrangement uses weETH bridged to Linea and includes staking and restaking rewards alongside protocol incentives. SharpLink identifies slashing, smart contract exploits, protocol failures and bridge vulnerabilities among the risks of restaking.
SharpLink's cumulative staking rewards reached 27,945 ETH as of Sept. 22. That dated figure covers the broader treasury strategy, so it does not measure the return on the two $200 million positions alone.
