The long-anticipated collaboration between Ripple and Solana has officially launched, with the Solana network announcing the debut of Wrapped XRP (wXRP) across multiple decentralized applications. This milestone marks a significant step in cross-chain liquidity and has already triggered a positive price reaction for both tokens.

Solana's official team confirmed the launch via a post on X, stating that XRP is now live on its network. The announcement highlighted four key contributors behind the initiative: Solana, Ripple, Hex Trust, and LayerZero, whose combined infrastructure powers the new wrapped token bridge. wXRP is now accessible through several popular Solana-based platforms, including Phantom Wallet, Jupiter Exchange, Titan Exchange, Meteora, and Byreal, giving traders flexible options to buy, sell, and hold the asset within the Solana ecosystem.

RippleX, Ripple's developer-focused division, acknowledged the launch by emphasizing that growing demand for XRP is fueling cross-chain liquidity and opening new pathways between blockchain ecosystems. The integration leverages LayerZero's messaging protocol and Hex Trust's custody infrastructure to ensure a secure and seamless bridging experience.

Market response was swift. XRP climbed approximately 4.12% to $1.48 on April 17, briefly touching $1.50 immediately following the announcement. Solana's native token, SOL, also gained around 4% intraday, reaching $1.50 and $89.86 respectively. These gains align with a broader crypto market recovery, supported in part by easing geopolitical tensions after reports emerged of diplomatic progress involving the U.S., Iran, and Israel.

This partnership between two of the most recognized blockchain networks signals growing momentum for interoperability in the crypto space. With wXRP now expanding XRP's presence beyond the XRP Ledger, traders and developers alike gain access to faster, lower-cost transaction options through one of the most active DeFi ecosystems available today.
