Blockchain media platform company PUBLISH, Inc. announced today that it has entered into strategic partnership with NetEase News Korea, to target the Chinese market.
NetEase News Korea joins PUBLISHalliance--a consortium of media enterprises, technology providers, and academic institutions tasked with the development and proliferation of PUBLISHprotocol--as a so-called ‘Super Publisher.’
As a Super Publisher, NetEase News Korea will operate one of several nodes responsible for co-operating PUBLISHprotocol’s platform. It will also participate in the fact-checking and content sharing initiatives of PUBLISHalliance.
At press time, PUBLISHalliance is a now a 16-member strong consortium of publishers with a combined monthly traffic of approximately 1 billion pageviews. Other notable members include the Investing.com and Inews24.
NetEase, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company, is a leading internet technology company based in China. Among its various businesses, the company operates a popular online community in China and is a major provider of Chinese language content and services through its online games, e-commerce, internet media, and email.
Its internet media businesses include the NetEase News app and NetEase news websites, including NetEase News Korea, which publishes Chinese language content about Korea from current events to sports, celebrity close-ups, and technology and fashion trends, to name but a few content categories.
In addition to NetEase News Korea, NetEase, Inc. owns and operates the Chinese portal site 163.com, a top 20 site in China with an average of 800 million page views and 80 million visitors per month.
