Web3 specialist, KresusLabs, unveiled its innovative Kresus Market on August 23, positioning it as a connector for traditional online marketplaces and the evolving world of Web3. With its strategic location in the Web3 landscape, KresusLabs aims to streamline the user experience, particularly for those engaging with assets on the Polygon blockchain.

This move comes after a dynamic year for the firm, having secured an impressive $25 million in funding this past March with backing from influencer Cameron Winklevoss. The company's momentum continued as it launched the comprehensive SuperApp just two months later.

Kresus Market's focused approach is set to support SuperApp users by offering a cleaner, more organized presentation of assets and projects. Such a marketplace could see a warm welcome from the crypto and nonfungible token (NFT) sectors, especially when considering the impressive number of NFTs on the Polygon platform. By May 2023, the blockchain had seen the creation of over 843 million NFTs, highlighting the potential demand for such streamlined experiences.

The same day the marketplace was introduced, KresusLabs also presented Kresus Connect. This supplementary feature for SuperApp assures direct and protected links to external websites. As detailed in a company blog, decentralized app creators have the option to embed the Kresus Connect feature, granting SuperApp enthusiasts a smooth transition through the Web3 gateway of Kresus.

A noticeable trend has emerged within Web3 entities, as many are pivoting towards integrating tools that merge the robust capabilities of Web3 with the familiar ease of Web2 platforms. A case in point is Web3 registrar Unstoppable Domains, which recently added instant messaging functions to its distinct naming service. Registered users, sporting domains such as .polygon, .crypto, and .wallet, now have the capability to communicate across compatible applications.
