Bitcoin rewards app Lolli has partnered with global shopping giant Alibaba.com, whereby its users can earn 5% bitcoin back when shopping on Alibaba.com.

According to a press release, the partnership is currently available to users within the United States. In order to receive five percent bitcoin back on purchases through Alibaba, shoppers are required to sign-up for an account at Lolli.com and download a browser extension from Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Commenting on the alliance, Alex Adelman, CEO and Co-founder of Lolli, said that it is aligned with the company’s mission of connecting the entire world through commerce.

“This is a milestone partnership for Lolli as Alibaba is the largest retailer and e-commerce company in the world, launching on Single’s Day, the world’s largest shopping day of the year. Our partnership allows our users to earn free bitcoin on millions of products online every day,” said Adelman.

Founded in 2018, Lolli allows people to earn and own bitcoin when they shop online. It has partnered with over 750 leading e-commerce retailers including Walmart, Groupon, and Macy’s in efforts to make the digital currency more accessible to everyone by earning through shopping online.

Alibaba is the world’s largest e-commerce retailer, providing consumers hundreds of millions of products in over 40 different major categories, including consumer electronics, machinery, and apparel. The company has been active in the blockchain space for quite some time and has also invested in blockchain property rights startup Bitmark.

In May, reports suggested that Alibaba was going to integrate blockchain technology into its intellectual property protection system of enterprises and brands.
