Ripple is strengthening its presence in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region with a new partnership in South Korea. Ripple President Monica Long expressed excitement over the deal with BDACS, a top digital asset custodian in the country. This collaboration will provide institutional investors in South Korea with secure custody services for RLUSD, XRP, and other cryptocurrencies.

The partnership aims to enhance the usability of Ripple’s regulated RLUSD stablecoin while supporting the broader XRP Ledger ecosystem. According to Long, institutional-grade custody solutions are critical as enterprises prepare for increased crypto adoption.

Ripple’s latest move follows its $250 million acquisition of Metaco in 2023, a major player in crypto custody. The company has since introduced "bank-grade" custody services, catering to institutional demand for secure digital asset storage.

As South Korea remains a key player in the global crypto market, this expansion positions Ripple to tap into growing institutional interest in digital assets. With regulatory clarity improving and demand for secure custody rising, Ripple’s strategic partnership with BDACS could play a pivotal role in shaping the country's digital asset landscape.
