Nonprofit blockchain organization IOTA Foundation has released the full version of Trinity wallet, a secure software application for IOTA tokens, on all mobile and desktop platforms.

As per its press release, Trinity, which has already been used widely in beta, has facilitated more than $1.8 billion worth of transactions and has been downloaded over 160,000 times. The stable, feature-complete application was audited by cybersecurity companies SixGen and Accessec ahead of its launch.

It is clear the Trinity team takes security very seriously and has applied best practices throughout the wallet's development. SixGen’s in-depth review and testing ensures users can store and send tokens with confidence and peace of mind,” Ethan Dietrich, SixGen CEO, said.

Built to accommodate new and advanced users alike, Trinity is a user-friendly and secure wallet that works on Android, iOS, Windows, and Linux. It is also compatible with hardware wallets produced by Ledger and offers support for up to 25 different languages, QR scanning and deep linking, biometric authentication, node quorum, automatic node management, and a host of other features.

As previously reported, the IOTA Foundation collaborated with Ledger that will see the Ledger Nano S hardware wallet integrated with IOTA Trinity and Romeo Wallets, allowing IOTA token holders to segregate their tokens from their smartphone or computer.

Just recently, IOTA Foundation has also collaborated with UK-based digital food safety management firm Primority to use blockchain to monitor food safety in the food supply chain and track food allergens.
