Coinstreet Partners and PUBLISH Inc. announces strategic partnership for asset tokenization and STO in South Korea

Thu, 12 Nov 2020, 05:26 am UTC

Asset tokenization is one of the transformative forces shaping the new face of the financial sector and the digital economy as a whole.

PUBLISH, Inc. and Coinstreet Partners announced that it is partnering up to provide one-stop asset tokenization and security token offering (STO) solutions to Korean enterprises and to offer education and knowledge sharing with Korean investors on asset tokenization through a series of industry conferences and seminars. The joint group is also keen to contribute and support research by the Korean government on regulatory policies and market development framework for digitalized securities.

Coinstreet provides proven business processes and end-to-end (financial/technical/compliance) solutions on constructing, capitalizing, and commercializing STO projects. They create an eco-system for converging the conventional capital market with the digital asset worlds; enabling enterprises and professional investors to benefit from the rapidly growing global security token market.

PUBLISH is Korea’s leading blockchain-based media protocol and digital content management platform for digital publishers.

“The 4th industrial revolution presents many new opportunities in the finance sector based on the new paradigm of trust that builds around decentralized ledger technology or blockchain. Coinstreet Partners aims to establish a preeminent digitalized global investment advisory service enterprise in the Korean market and to contribute to positioning Korea as a global leader in the asset tokenization era,” said Pietro A. Doran, Managing Partner and Executive Director of Coinstreet Partners Korea, a globally recognized expert within Korea’s real estate market with over 27 years of experience in structured project financing, private equity, new city development, and global investment advisory services.

“I am very pleased to partner and represent Coinstreet in the local Korean market. Korea is currently going through the legalization of the cryptocurrency market, and the timing is perfect for this partnership, to proactively prepare the way for a proper understanding and commercialization of STO solutions,.” commented Sonny Kwon, Founder, and CEO of PUBLISH, Inc.

Sam Lee, Founder, and CEO of Coinstreet Partners added, “the Korean market plays a very significant role in both the conventional capital market and cryptocurrency market, and we anticipate such Korea’s leadership position will naturally transition into the asset tokenization and digitized securities space. Coinstreet is very pleased to collaborate with PUBLISH to prepare for such opportunities.”

According to a survey from the World Economic Forum, around 10% of global GDP will be tokenized and stored on Blockchain and is expected to reach a total market capitalization of over USD $24-trillion dollar by 2027. Coinstreet serves clients with tokenization needs ranging from stablecoins, real estate, financial services, technology, biotech, healthcare, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing, hotel, hospitality, lifestyle, gaming, media, and entertainment sectors. Significant growth in the number of high-quality STO projects and global expansion of investor communities is expected, as the adaptation of this new corporate finance model gains popularity globally.
