Decentralized AR Platform developer Scanetchain has announced that the “beta” version of their marker scanning reward system will be available in the next software update. Further details related to the amount of rewards and how the rewards will be paid out will be shared closer to the pilot launch.
The reward system encourages users to participate and contribute to the overall ecosystem which was created to essentially disrupt the way people search for things. Instead of querying a search engine, users are prompted to scan content, images, products, logos, etc. using the camera on their mobile device. Users can access various types of relevant content, and in future, will be able to make purchases, reservations, and perform other activities by simply scanning objects and images around them with their mobile devices.
The open decentralized platform also allows users to create scannable content and match it with relevant content and links that can be accessed by other users, so in essence, all participants contributing to the overall supply of scannable content, crowd curation, and crowd creation.
There are also major UI / UX updates for users of the Scanetchain.
This brings new modern, user-friendly functions and design update for the entire app, and the most prominently update is the addition of category and tag features using very lovely icons. Also, the history and notifications pages are not yet unveiled.
This update brings Scanetchain to transformed into a modern, user-friendly design, especially including multi-marker uploading function for similar markers, account transitions between general users and advertisers to add real value and enhance convenience for users. CEO David Ham has also advised that they have entered into a number of key partnerships to further grow the ecosystem and to bring greater value to Scanetchain users.
Scanetchain and VodiX have entered into a formal agreement via MOU. Both companies have agreed to collaborate and utilize each other’s tech platforms to provide innovative tech-based micro-tasking opportunities in emerging markets in an effort to increase financial inclusion and assist in generating meaningful opportunities for the millions of unbanked. VodiX is based on the Vodi App which allows users to earn rewards, top up mobile data plans and make money transfers. Vodi currently has 4 million users around the world.
Scanetchain and BlockCommerce have joined together into a memorandum of Understanding to further explore joint business opportunities in e-commerce based token economies. Where the two companies will work together to position the AR based “scan to shop” services within the BlockCommerce ecosystem to create value and function for BlockCommerce platform sellers and their customers.
Scanetchain and Nupay have entered into an MOU. Nupay is a Crypto to Fiat payment service provider, as part of the agreement both companies will explore the potential integration of the Nupay payment system into Scanetchain services for future payment services. The Nupay payment services will be available near the end of 2019
