In 2020, the number of USDT secondary issuance after buyback is 6.8 billion, accounting for 32.5% of the entire annual circulation. Since January 2021, Tether has issued a total of 5.2 billion USDT and burned 500 million, with an average daily issuance of 238.5M and 23.1M burning. The average daily issuance in 2021 is close to three times the average daily issuance in 2020.
